Don't let fear rule your life.

It can be challenging to sit with your feelings and ideas at times. It may be possible to comprehend your concerns and anxiety if you learn to become aware of your surroundings, physical symptoms, what you are going through, and any potential emotional feelings you may be experiencing. Your body and mind will need some practice. Here are some tips I took away from a wonderful friend and neighbor:


  • Do not try to hasten the healing process. Spend some time being kind and compassionate to yourself.


  • Resist letting fear rule your life. Spend some time breathing deeply and praying to help you relax.


  • If you need to stop what you're doing for a moment and consider what you need right now, please do so.


  • Make an effort to overcome your worst fear. Even if it takes a while for you to get there, try not to be too hard on yourself. Be kind and mindful of your efforts.


  • Do not give up! You'll make it out of this dark tunnel, but keep in mind that you're also picking up skills for the future. What best serves your body and mind belongs in your hands. Keep advocating for yourself!
