It's almost time for the New Year and Christmas! Have you ever thought about your goals and wondered, "What should I do for myself this year?" What can I do to make myself happy? What is something I've put off that I'd like to try again? I want you to make a list of goals you want to achieve before the year 2022 ends! It can range from minor to major objectives.
For example, I want to work on being gentler and more compassionate to myself. I recently ended a 20+ year friendship, and let me tell you, it has been hell and painful so far. I've noticed in the last few days that I've been blaming myself and crying because we were so close and growing apart fucking sucks.
A great friend of mine sent me this message: " Not everyone is for you. Not everyone can go where you're going. Friends are like seasons. To help you become a better version or simply avoid someone not to be.". I sat there wondering and reflecting on that message because I know it was true on the inside, but it was difficult to accept what has happened. So another goal of mine is to cherish the memories of our friendship, reflect on what I've learned, and gradually accept the fact that we are no longer in each other's lives. Friendships teach us so many lessons, and it can be difficult at first because everything is so new.
Ideas of areas to make a goals list:
Personal growth goals
Professional development goals
Health goals
Lifestyle goals
