The Conversation That Blew My Mind
I had a wonderful conversation with a friend on how to accomplish your goals and alter your perspective. I learned from the conversation that you need to develop goals you can achieve by starting small and by holding yourself accountable for achieving your goals. This means that to achieve your goals, you must believe in yourself. That surprised me much because I frequently convince myself that I'll finish a task tomorrow when I have unfinished goals. At first, I didn't fully grasp it, but it makes sense that to think that you can achieve your goals, you must first trust yourself.
Let's Discuss Ways to Reach Your Goals
What do you do to begin establishing your goals while you are preparing to achieve them? Are you an outliner? Are you journaling about them? Utilize a goal sheet. Try this and see what helps you define your objectives.
Consider what you want your life to look like in ten years. Do you appear to desire to be debt-free, buy a house, work from home, or drive a reliable car? Whatever that looks like, I implore you to outline your life and put it in writing.
Second, you will now work backward from this outline. For example, I want to have my private practice and be a fully licensed therapist in five years. So how do I plan to accomplish this? Let's diagram it:
Goal: To obtain full licensure as a therapist and open a private practice.
To accomplish this, I must: in 5 years, have a wholly owned practice with a home office. In four years, I'll start writing a business plan, employ an accountant, and network with other therapists. I'll start saving an estimated $50,000 in three years. I start looking at residences in the area and create a budget. 2 years: Complete licensing and file paperwork. 1 year - Acquire the necessary license and start working as an associate therapist. six months before the exam: Begin studying. In the next three months, I'll look into study materials, join a study group, and make time for my mental and physical well-being. Create a five-year strategy blueprint today.
You can construct a plan to help you achieve your goals by using the example above. My creation was a little challenging, and I am aware that additional research needs to be done. Research is truly important and create an outline it in writing. Make contact with others who have achieved the goals you share.
Learn to Be Accountable
Try doing this activity! What little task, such as writing, going for a walk, or cleaning your room, are you hoping to complete this week? Next, decide which day you can block off for 5 minutes. You can start little and gradually increase by including an additional 5 minutes or more. Don't give up once you've established a pattern for achieving this goal! You'll probably have days when you don't want to do it, but keep in mind that you're doing it for yourself. Belief in oneself. Use the PDF listed below to discover how to be more responsible!
